This role is pivotal in maintaining and improving the application environment for a large government organisation, including patch management and enterprise-wide support. Key Responsibilities: Develop, test, and deploy application packages using tools like MSI and App-V, ensuring compatibility and performance. Collaborate with support teams to troubleshoot and resolve application-related issues, ensuring smooth integration and functionality. Maintain and update application patches to enhance security, performance, and compliance. Record processes, configurations, and resolutions to support knowledge sharing and consistency. Use PowerShell scripting to automate tasks and streamline workflows. Support service improvement initiatives and work with teams to deliver high-quality solutions. Ensure all activities align with standards and industry best practices. Stay updated on emerging technologies and contribute on improvements to packaging and deployment processes. Key Requirements: Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in application packaging, deployment, and maintenance in an enterprise environment. Skills and knowledge in Windows Installer (MSI) packaging and application sequencing (App-V). Experience with enterprise tools like Microsoft Intune and System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM). Experience delivering application packages in Citrix XenApp environments. Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation, troubleshooting, and customisation. Understanding of application virtualisation technologies and deployment methodologies for Windows operating systems. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
